Crash Guide Partner Network

Be there when a write-off forces a new policy

A total loss is one of the few moments an Australian genuinely chooses car insurance rather than renewing it. By the time they are comparing cover they have usually stopped thinking about the accident — which is why the place to be is the action plan they are already working through.

Who you reach

The audience for this category

  • Consumers whose vehicle has been written off and who must insure a replacement
  • Consumers whose car was undriveable and who are replacing it rather than repairing
  • Consumers who found out during the claim that they were underinsured
  • Consumers unhappy with how their own insurer handled the claim

Where you appear

Your inventory

  • Top of the “insuring your next car” panel on the accident action plan
  • Placement by state, or nationally
  • Marked as an advertiser, above the full alphabetical list of insurers

What you get back

  • Impressions across the placements you hold
  • Profile views and clicks through to your site
  • Contact requests attributed to your campaign
  • Monthly campaign reporting

How advertising works

Crash Guide sells advertising and audience access. Placements are priced by category, geography and share of voice, and campaigns are reported monthly.

Where a consumer asks to be connected with a provider, that request is routed under rules an administrator configures — coverage, capacity, weighting and response time — never by who paid most that week.

Geographic targeting

Coverage is set per partner: national, by state, by postcode, or by postcode range. A local operator is preferred over a national one for the same territory, so buying nationally does not crowd out local partners.

Commercial arrangement

A fixed monthly fee for the placement, exactly like every other category here. Nothing is charged per quote, per policy, per click or per customer, and we take no share of premium. A placement that earns from what a consumer buys is a different regulated activity from the one we are in, and it is not one we intend to enter.

Compliance and how we handle this category

Crash Guide is not an insurer, does not hold an AFS licence, and does not compare policies, quote prices or recommend one insurer over another — that would be financial product advice. The panel lists insurers alphabetically and links to each one’s own page, so the consumer reads the insurer’s description of its own cover. Advertisers are marked as advertisers and the position bought does not reorder the free listings beneath. No consumer details are passed to an insurer: the exemption relied on covers a service consisting only of naming a licensee and giving contact details (Corporations Regulations reg 7.6.01(1)(e)).

We will not quote you traffic that does not exist yet. What we will show you is the product, the coverage model and how a campaign is measured.
