The Northern Territory Motor Accidents Compensation (MAC) scheme provides benefits to people injured in motor vehicle accidents in the Territory, on a no-fault basis, funded through vehicle registration.
Reporting a crash
NT Police publish when a crash must be reported. Long distances and remote locations make it particularly important to record the exact location.

Remote and regional accidents
On remote roads, record your location as precisely as you can — nearest community, highway and kilometre marker, or GPS coordinates. Emergency response, towing and recovery all take longer, and a vague location costs time you may not have.
