Crash Guide exists because of a gap that everyone who has had a crash recognises immediately. In the hour after an accident you are expected to make a series of decisions that will shape the next three months, with no preparation, no neutral advice and a phone battery that is probably at 12%.
What a driver actually has to work out
- What information do I need to collect, and from whom?
- What happens to my vehicle, and who decides where it goes?
- What does my insurer actually need from me?
- Might replacement transport be available to me?
- Where do repairs and towing fit, and in what order?
- What should I do if I am injured — or if I am not sure yet?
- What happens if the vehicle is written off?
Every one of those questions has a different answer depending on the state you were in, the cover you hold, who was responsible and whether anyone was hurt. Crash Guide puts that information in one place, and works through it with you in the order it actually matters.

Crash Guide is funded by partner advertising and, where a consumer asks to be connected with a provider, by commercial arrangements with that provider. We are open about that because the alternative — pretending to be purely editorial while quietly selling enquiries — is how this industry earned its reputation.
The discipline we hold ourselves to is straightforward: your Action Plan has to be complete and genuinely useful whether or not you ever ask us to arrange a single thing. If Crash Guide is only valuable when there is something to sell, it has failed.

How we handle your information
An accident record contains some of the most sensitive information a person will ever type into a website — where they were, who else was involved, what hurts, a photograph of somebody's driver licence.
- Nothing is shared with a provider without your recorded, per-category consent.
- Evidence is stored privately and is never publicly reachable by URL.
- Your accident page is reached by a high-entropy private link, never a sequential ID.
- No personal information is sent to analytics — ever.
- Admin access to an accident record is logged and attributable.
